Definitions
MedicareThe Medicare question on the ASEC supplement attempted to identify all persons 15 years old and over who were 'covered' by Medicare at any time during the previous calendar year. The term covered means enrolled in the Medicare Program. In order to be counted, the person did not necessarily have to receive medical care paid for by Medicare.
