Definitions

Farsightedness (hyperopia) is a defect of vision caused by an imperfection in the eye (often when the eyeball is too short or when the lens cannot become round enough), causing difficulty focusing on near objects.

The term non-Hispanic refers to persons who trace their origins or descent to a place other than Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Spanish speaking Central and South America countries, and other Spanish cultures. People who identify their ethnicity as non-Hispanic may be of any race.
