Definitions
Labor force participantPersons are classified as in the labor force if they are employed, unemployed, or in the Armed Forces during the survey week. The 'civilian labor force' includes all civilians (excludes the armed forces) classified as employed or unemployed. The official definition of the civilian labor force is age 16 and over.
